MAINZ delivers. Whether you are inspired to perform or would rather stay firmly behind-the-scenes on the technical side or in management, MAINZ programmes are designed to help you succeed. They give you freedom to explore your creativity, as well as providing practical industry-oriented education and training.
MAINZ is unique. We are the only institute to have a suite of programmes that cover all aspects of the music industry. This means our students work together and can collaborate on projects. For example, Live Sound students mix sound and provide lighting for Performance students, who are managed by Music and Event students and recorded by Audio students.
This not only breaks down barriers and creates a positive campus buzz, but also encourages students to forge their own professional networks and fosters and develops skills and confidence. It’s exciting to be part of the MAINZ team.
MAINZ has strong industry links. Our tutors share a passion for music and are all practising professionals with extensive networks.
Our students reap the benefits of these relationships through guest classroom speakers and field trips that provide valuable insights into working in this exciting sector. Students can also enjoy many ‘real world’ opportunities through our involvement with Smokefree Rockquest, Chartfest, Pacifica Beats and other events, or work experience with some of our industry and education partners.
MAINZ has excellent facilities. Our campuses in Auckland and Christchurch are equipped with industry-standard software and equipment, and include professional recording control rooms and studios, computer suites, and rehearsal and performance spaces. We don’t compromise on quality. We know our students will be industry ready.
Music is a growing and global industry offering a myriad of opportunities. If you’re serious about a career in the music industry, make an inspired choice and check out what MAINZ has to offer.
We look forward to meeting you.
